A beautiful boat! I was curious about the mast tabernacle, is that really for raising and lowering the mast? And I was wondering how the anchor arrangement was working for you.
I was able to meet with Kaj and visit Astrid during the build of a sister ship, Aarda, for which Astrid was an inspiration. Astrid is beautiful and meticulously finished. The boat is obviously a labor of love and the attention to detail is outstanding. There's lots of information on his blog about the construction, linked on this page. It's well worth a read!
Thanks to both you and Scott for the nice comments. Bryan does fantastic work. As for the headroom, it varies from 6' at the forward end of the cabin to about 6' 3" at the main hatch. The sole height was a compromise between my wife and I, so I can see out the top half of the portholes, and she could see out the bottom. I'm 5' 11", so I just fit on the forward end. On the other hand, because of the shape of the hull, to get any space for a sole in the head we had...
