I’ve always like the Somersault. ..a very pretty boat. I got a few pics from the broker and I see the other White Wings is a little different then mine. Mostly interior layout. I see they also removed the mizzen. I’ve removed many of the windows in the cabin as it was greenhouse in there on sunny days. Still plenty of light and a little more cozy feeling. The Ljungstrom had a couple of issues… It was very difficult to hold the mast in a reefed position. But then the boat was quite under canvased so a reef was seldom...
Dick would be proud of how light I keep the boat. A habit I got into early was to always take something away when I left the boat. I only spoke with Dick a couple of times and cherish his letters. ...he's one of my hero's.
Hi Michal, Thanks, it is a cool boat! I’ll see what I have for interior pics. I recently built some new galley storage and did a general clean up in there. The original Ljungstrom was actually quite dangerous. The new rig is much easier to handle and faster. …the main sail could be even bigger. It’s been a work in progress for the last 16 years!
