That is a heck of a boat! The Australian Red cedar is an outstanding wood. The grain in the photo on the plywood bulkheads is beautiful.

An excellent boat. I can see that it has a proper forefoot for rough water and efficiency and good looks. (Does WA really require license numbers that big on the side?)

I like everything about it except the overly heavy and elaborate skeg. A lighter and simpler more straightforward one would perfect this thing. Watched every episode so far.

As an American I can tell you Shepherds are serious, brawny, rough water boats. They were once common on the Niagara River.

Nicely restored. The deck looks to have had narrow planks added as opposed to the sheet mahogany ply.

Plywood decks and planked bottom… wish it were the other way around. Having said that, Stars are a fine sailboat and this on looks well restored. Henderson Harbor is one of my favorite places too.
