She was built and probably designed by the famous Pompei brothers Jack and Joe of Mordialloc Melbourne Australia. Commissioned by Maurice Dowd who had the lingerie factory Berlei and was a sponsor for the Miss Australia quest. The boat was based at the Royal Victorian Motor Yacht Club in Williamstown for many years. As a “double ender” she is quite unusual from Pompeis.
This is my favourite. All the things that I hold dear: Converted fishboat, traditional lines, 6:71 Detroit, dry stack exhaust. perfect profile with the add-on accomodation and dinghy a-top.
