31' Luke Teal One-Design Sloop (1937) - ZEST

Zest is a Teal One Design, designed in 1935 and built in 1937. Her sister ships won the Round the Island Race around the Isle of Wight on three occasions. After being found in poor shape in 2017, Zest was refitted by Abernethy and Gaudin Boatbuilders with a new deck, new main timbers and spars, and outfitted with an electric engine. Zest was originally built engineless. She is a delight to the eye with lovely proportions, sails beautifully, and carries her sense of tradition with pride. Six of the original nine boats of her class built are still sailing. Sailing Zest is just a joyous thing to do!
