36' Monk Bridgedeck Cruiser (1954) - ZEPHYRUS

Designed by Ed Monk Sr., MV Zephyrus was built in 1954 in Nanaimo, British Columbia. Carvel planked, yellow cedar on white oak frames below the waterline, red cedar above. When Lady Z acquired Zephyrus in 2017, she was bow-heavy, overpowered by a Perkins 6.354 horizontal turbo engine. Re-powered with a Perkins 4.236 in 2018, Zephyrus now sits with a more refined balance from stem to stern. Annual maintenance and restoration work over the past five years is bringing this beloved classic back into fine form.
