26' Townson Serene Sloop (1969) - SWANRAD

Swanrad is a Townson 26′ “Serene” design. Des Townson was a brilliant, self taught New Zealand yacht designer and builder. The Serene design (1961) was his first keelboat design, after success in fast, good looking dinghys. His sailboats/yachts followed and have developed a legendary following in New Zealand. The Serene design was radical for her time, with the engine placement forward and with a roached mainsail with running backstays.
