She is powered by twin V12 71 GM natually aspirated Diesels.
In 1977/78 Sundowner was purchased by three families who did significant Business with Woolworths at the time , they were the Pratt family , Lindsay Fox , both from Melbourne , and the Doran Family of Newcastle. Sundowner was used by each group to entertain Clients , and have family trips away up and down the East Coast of Australia, and on several ocasions Sundowner has been as far North as Lizard Island for the annual Black Marlin season.
In 1983 the Pratt Family ( Richard Pratt ) brought the other part owners out and kept her for the next 38 years in Sydney Harbour, doing significant upgrades and maintaining her to a very high standard.
My Wife and I Purchased her from the Pratts in 2021. My Fathers Company was one of the part owners in her from 1978 to 1983 , so I spent a lot of time on the vessel growing up and have been on her to Lizard Island and Barrier Reef in Far North Queensland on two occasions , the first being in 1981.
We now use her as a family boat for our Grown up Children and their partners.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
