Lovely go-fast boat. We had a C-Lark, which is a fiberglass “International 14”, that looked like many other “starter” boats, in it’s day (@1968). This boat looks like a much more serious racer … lighter, flatter, more un-wetted beam and very “hike-able”. And such a beautiful place to sail. Unalaska Island has fjords in it’s fjords!
That boat looks like a lot of fun. If you ever find yourself heading with it through the Canadian prairies to the lower 48, it would be great to see you sailing your boat on nearby Lake Diefenbaker.. Cheers
What a fantastic boat! Fun to see a lovely varnished hull gunkholing around Unalaska! It’s such a small place, you might know our friends Andy and Daneen who own s/v ROSE? We kept our CELESTE in Unalaska for two winters. Thanks for sharing, hope to cross paths whenever we get back up there!
I don’t think I do know Andy and Daneen. These bays are absolutely amazing for sailing. We would love to get our big boat up here, but she is stranded in the UK due to Covid. Bombing around in the i14 is keeping me sane, that is for sure. It would be great to cross paths. Fair winds and sure landfalls!
I bet it’s fun sailing a fast, close-to-the-water boat up there! We loved sailing CELESTE around there, just out for day-sails and also around the area – up to the Pribilofs, out to King Cove and Kodiak, etc. Andy and Daneen have a Hans Christian in the Unalaska small boat harbor, near the Unisea plant. They circumnavigated the same time we did, which is how we know them. Be fun to meet you when we get back up there in a year or two if you’re still around!

It will be a long trailer ride from out here (after the 700 mile ferry ride to get to the road system) but I will keep it in mind!
Great submittal, great pics. Indeed, bravest in show.
