SEAS THE DAY is a 19 foot 1961 Chris Craft Continental delivered to the Chain of the Lakes Marina in Fox Lake Illinois on June of 1961. The original owner named the boat SKUL and kept the boat on the Illinois waterways and after sometime it fell in to disrepair. The family gave to boat to the second owner in 1996 with the stipulation that it would not be scrapped. The second owner started the restoration by removing the varnish and paint and rotted planking. Eventually the boat was trucked to California. I purchased the boat in August of 2013 and it took me 4 years to restore the boat. Replacing most of the port side and transom planking, having all the chrome redone, gages rebuild, and interior reupholstered. My daughter came up with the new name SEAS THE DAY and the boat was launched in Lake Tahoe on July 2017. Since then each year we have attended a few ACBS chapter events and of course use the boat on Lake Tahoe.
