  • Owner’s Description

    SCOTER is a Bud McIntosh cutter/sloop built in the late 80s at the Wooden Boat School in Brooklin, ME in classes taught by Bud and Swifty. I’ve had her for about 6 years after she was on the hard for 7. Initially I had to do a lot of cosmetic work, minor repairs, repowering, rewiring, and modifications to the rigging (such as removing the forestay & staysail & upgrading the furler) to make her easier to single-hand.
    SCOTER sails out of the Benjamin River in Brooklin to explore all the islands in the area. She’s a true joy to sail!
