Pia is a double ended 38 M2 Klasse Spidsgatter. Designed by Aage Utzon and built by Knutsen Pia is a thoroughbred, a combination of beauty, speed and seaworthiness. I found her in near derelict condition in Cortez Bay in 1991 and spent two years restoring her. In 2010 after a serious storm I spent another 19 months making repairs. It has been a strange and magical journey, a sweet ride born of the best things in life.

A great inspiration. I will be starting a restoration/rebuild on a 27 ft cutter rigged sloop that I built with my father—- over 40 years ago. I am now 62 years old. The boat has been sitting in my yard for 27 years without getting wet. I owe it to the boat and my father to bring her back to life. All I can do is try——- and go up and down the ladder!

2 Years in to a refit in a vessel some 30 years younger.
