1937 Gar Wood custom runabout 19′. Powered in the late 1970’s by and OMC 230 hp V-8. We first bought this boat on Oct. 13, 2007, named her “Pegasus”, did a lot of work in her and then sold it on Nov. 2, 2010 when our grandkids wanted to ski, tube and wake board. Ten years later my wife and I were driving to our lake house and talking about how much we missed “Pegasus.” So I called the guy I sold her to when he answered he said “you’re who?” and I replied I was the guy who sold him his wooden boat and then he remembered me. I asked him if he was interested in selling or back and at first he said you promised it to his daughter when he died but then said give him a week and he’d get back to me. I was sure there was no hope but then about two weeks later he called me and said he decided to sell her back to me because he needed another boat for his Florida place. On May 20th “Pegasus” became ours again. He had taken really good care of her, although she needed some good cleaning and promptly died on the first time I took her out with a bad ignition. I have since install the pertronix ignition, new coil, Aluminum Intake Manifold in new carburetor we worked electrical some more, replaced hydraulic hoses Etc. She lives in our boat house on Lake Burton Georgia it gets regular use what are Lake.

Beautiful boat. Is it for sale? If so, wrw3iii@gmail.com
Thanks for the kind comment on our boat. Sorry, Pegasus isn’t for sale. Can’t wait for our lake to come back up so we can get back on the water. Two or three more weeks…..
