Owner’s Description
Pacific Loon is an Ed Monk Sr. designed cruiser built in 1956 by Warren Waterton and launched in 1957 at Esquimalt, British Columbia, Canada. Construction is carvel planking of red and yellow cedar on oak frames and fir stringers. She was refastened in 1993 with silicon bronze fasteners, and repowered in 2018 with a Beta Marine 75. Launched as “La-Z-Buoy” in 1957, she is featured on Pg. 100 of “Ed Monk and the Tradition of Classic Boats”. Her name changed from La-Z-Buoy to Aqualina, then Pacific Loon. Her plan (#1758) shows that the builder lengthened her by 2 feet, giving a generous cockpit area. She cruises the Salish Sea.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
