Owner’s Description
14 feet wooden sailing boat, in mahogany (cedar for the hul) dated 1958 and restored as brand new.Working sailing and rowboat produced by historic company Garfagnoli in Lighor, Italy, discontinued in 1970.
Originally a working boat for short-range fisherman activities, built strong and practical to handle in every condition like the middle/high Tirrenian sea can be in all seasons. She sat for 20 years (from ’65 to ’85) in a warehouse, waiting for a restoration and then used as a dinghy for a few years for touristic use. The second restoration was done in 2 years, ending in 2021 from the naked hull to all details.
Full original onboard equipment in full brass and rare bakelite camcleat (the plastics origins), Original tanbark sails on the Marconi rig. Now in Piombino (LI) historical marina XIV century, is a lovely strong dinghy you really feel comfortable and safe to sail with. You would be really surprised to row and see how fast it can be. The hull is a masterpiece of efficiency and the original full-body oars with original leather are amazing beauties that I use to have as home decors in my sea view home.
