    This is hull #1 of a Francois Vivier strip-planked Morbic 11, with balanced lug rig, that he designed for me.

    Maybe it wasn’t the wisest thing for me to do, building a completely bright-finished boat for my first boat build. But, I asked a lot of questions, watched a lot of how-to videos, and built it one stick at a time, taking my time. It is sheathed in 6 oz glass and varnished. I’m pretty happy with the result.

    Only takes 10 minutes to set up at the ramp and off we go. Gave me the bug and I’ve been building boats ever since.
