Now located in Acadia Maine and has been sold. When it comes to a multi-age family day sailer specifically designed for the chilly and often choppy waters of New England, Herreshoff 12 1/2s are the gold standard. The Somes Sound 12 1/2 designed by John Brooks is a lapstrake, centerboard version of the Herreshoff Manufacturing Company original. Built with high quality plywood planking, she is easy to trailer, will not dry out and leak when stored. This means a family can “dry sail” her throughout the summer or even trailer her to different parts of the coast for vacations.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
