30' Howell/Waters Converted Chesapeake Deadrise Oysterboat (2020) - MERLIN

Deadrise Oysterboat , I found this bare hull in a barn in Maryland , originally built as a tug ,by Tom Howell ( mr Jim ect) it had sat for thirty years. Brought it to my yard in conn and built her up to work in my oyster business over a period of three years … heavily built of white oak and southern pine the hull is indigenous to the area of Maryland she was built with a semi round stern , cross planked on the bottom and for and aft planking in bows a,construction,unique to that area.
