Chapelle’s 21-Foot Fisherman’s Launch, pp. 393-394 “Boatbuilding” by Howard I. Chapelle
Her construction began in 1986 by Roland Geiger and Rufus Jefferson (boatbuilder) on Madeline Island La Pointe, Wisconsin. Roland and Rufus bought everything that was needed to build the boat; Sabb engine, Port Orford Cedar, local Oak. They enlisted help from local residents and were able to build the molds, backbone, and ribs.
A divorce forced the pieces to be shipped and stored in Seneca, South Carolina. Rufus was lost at sea (1990). Shortly before his death in 2000, Roland sold the materials to Robert Teisberg. In 2001, the materials were towed by Robert Teisberg back to Madeline Island La Pointe, Wi.
In 2008, Andrew Butler bought the materials and the dream, from Robert Teisberg and (with help from Hartman) towed all of it to Denver Colorado where the boat was finally built, it was then towed back to Madeline Island, La Pointe Wisconsin and launched in 2010

This boat has been around though not necessarily as a boat. What a story of dream, vision, determination, and providence!
Sharp indeed! that’ a nice narrow entry.
Looking sharp!!!!
