This steel schooner received a thorough restoration under the critical eye and deep pockets of the late venture capitalist Tom Perkins. The result is spectacular, with the work based on Herreshoff’s original drawings housed at MIT, Perkins’s alma mater. He had her restored in Europe, but was able to bring her back home to Bristol for a visit before he died.
