Maine Idea is the largest power cruiser designed by Joel White. Built with white oak frames and douglas fir planking, her bottom remains in excellent condition, a testament to both her design and construction. Her big barn door of a rudder and single Volvo diesel gets her into the tightest of spaces without the aid of a bow thruster. She is a pleasure to drive.
Maine Idea is roomy and airy and full of light and serves as our family’s New England summer cottage. She’s back in Maine waters after many years in southern New England and appears quite content to be back home.

We saw and spoke to you at Seguin last summer and as you left we were guessing about which way you were off to. I think you headed further east.
