Let’s Go is a 17 foot sailing boat with a balanced lug rig that I designed and built for my own use. I’ve been sailing her since 2011 on Presqu’ile Bay near Brighton Ontario. The hull is of cold molded construction with a daggerboard and a cruiser stern The mast was built using the bird’s mouth method. I built the hull in 1987 as a plug to create an frp mold for a human powered launch. In the early 90s I decided to make her into a sailing boat, but for a variety of reasons, it was not until 2011 that I completed the rig and painted the hull and sailed her for the first time. In 2020 I repainted the hull in dark blue and had a new sail made by the late Stuart Hopkins of Dabbler Sails.
