They had a new mast built and set off again cruising north to the Reef then onto Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomons etc and New Guinea where they stayed for some time. They entered and won the Kavieng to Rabaul Race. They returned to Pittwater and sold her to Tolley and McDonald who lived on her in Elvina Bay. The present owner purchased her in 1986. By this time she had done a lot of sea miles and had been only repaired when needed. Her restoration was started in1987 and she was restored to her present condition.
