Owner’s Description
She was the last of the wooden boats designed by Alan Buchanan before he moved to fibre glass hulls. She is one of six Vashti class ocean racers bulit in the late 1950’s/early 1960’s. Lady of Hamford was built by Suttons of Great Wakering on the east coast of the UK and sucessfully raced in the 60’s and 70’s under the name of Vendetta.
She was refitted and upgraded in 2015 to a racer/cruiser and takes part in mant classic and non classic races on the south cost of the UK primarly in the Solent. She is a worthy opponent to many new fibre glass boats.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
