Built for cartoonist Bill Hannah (Flintstones, etc.) Two yards built 11 boats of this type (1957-1967) 47′ to 65′ length. They were the first series-built heavy displacement trawler yachts. Early boats went to SoCal offshore sailors retreating to power. Simple engine room/systems. No AC, washer/dryer, bow thruster, stabilizers, or water maker. 6KW Northern Lights runs 3hr/day at anchor. Underway, Lima brushless cruise gen produces 6KW from main engine PTO. Outback 3KW inverter. Webasto diesel boiler heat system. Wolf propane range. Easy motion at sea, will heave-to at 600/700 RPM (144 prop RPM) with Simrad AP70 holding course @ 1.5 – 2kts. Three double cabins, three heads. Pilothouse, galley, and Salon on one level. Large covered aft deck, comfortable flybridge with large boat deck. Normal cruise is 8.75 Kts @ 1450 RPM
