Owner’s Description
Forget-me-not is a family fun boat for Flathead Lake in Northwest Montana as well as a light coastal cruiser. A Calkins’, 1950’s rough water, plywood/epoxy hull on spruce frames, double end design built for the sand bars, waves and currents at the mouth of the Columbia River, hence the Bartender Brand. She is fancied up a bit by the owners son who was the principal builder, among many students and graduates of the NorthWest School of Wooden Boatbuilding.
Sapele exterior house and well deck coaming with custom white bronze fittings and portholes. Cherry wood interior accents and table. She sleeps two with a mini-galley and enclosed head. Set up with GPS auto pilot, radar and AIS for Puget Sound and the coast.
These plywood hulls were so adaptable that bartender boats were used for Coast Guard patrol boats for many years.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
