Flekkerøy served as a pilot cutter from when she was built in 1936 until 1968. The black- and white photograph below is from 1940 and shows what she looked like originally.
Nowadays she has a sail area of 1350 sq. Ft (125 square meters) and with her current owners she has sailed waters from Norway, Iceland and Greenland via the New England coast to Bermuda and the Caribbean.
She is a well built, strong and seaworthy double ender serving us well as both a liveaboard and a long term cruising companion, under sail and at anchor, all year round.
