I wanted a boat capable of sailing upwind in really shallow water, simple to rig and very confortable for two for daysailing in the Venice lagoon. I wanted its look to remind of traditional boats even tough it is very unconventional. I used it also as experimental boat to test sail design and to develop my view about sails furling on mast.

very interesting boat. Do the white sails in picture5 reef to the vertical batten lines? If so how is the extra sail material bundled and how does it affect the air flow at the mast? The sails set beautifully at full size. I would love to sail in your location, so picturesque.
