Owner’s Description
Christina Grant is constructed to Bill Atkin’s design #433 that he called Jerry Colemore. The hull is planked with white pine over oak, fastened with copper rivets. Decks are epoxy sheathed plywood and the mast is hollow box section made of spruce. Instead of the original knockabout sloop rig, Christina Grant was fitted with a cutter rig that is about 50% larger than the original design. Her owners spent about 7,500 hours over a period of 5 1/2 years to build her from lofting to launch. Since then, in addition to extensive cruising in home waters of Nova Scotia, they have voyaged to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Newfoundland, Scotland, Ireland and home again. Christina Grant won Concours d’Elegance first prizes at the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta in 2000 and at the Mystic Seaport Wooden Boat Show in 2018.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
