Owner’s Description
One of a dozen identical gaff-rigged sloops built over a single winter, she originally carried the name PAULINE, then became BANSHEE, and finally CHINOOK. She sailed as a yawl before her thorough and most recent restoration returned her to how she and the others looked there second season. It was then that bowsprits were fitted to reduce weather helm. Records show that the original NY-40s went together fast and efficiently: this boat was begun on March 15th and by the 25th of April had been completed, launched, rigged, and trialed!Already a member?
