“Casi Casi” is a Selway Fisher design. The Petite Brise 12’4″ Dory Skiff was designed to be used as the new tender for the famous Jolie Brise French Pilot Cutter sailed by the Dauntsey’s School Sailing Club. Their requirement was for a traditional looking craft (to go with JB) that would take a lot of punishment when used by pupils and charterers and which would be safe for use by youngsters and could also be used to teach them basic boat work and sailing techniques.
Construction had to be strong, light (the boat is stowed on deck) and capable of being built by pupils at the school. Construction is simple stitch and tape (we also have the mould shapes for clinker/ply) and uses just 4 1/2 sheets of ply. If built with 9mm bottom and 6mm sides, she is light enough to be car topped – they have also been built with fore and side decks.
Casi casi was built to plan by the previous owner and a bespoke trailer added for transportation. I have owned and sailed her for two years and she is solid and seaworthy in winds up to Force 5.

What a lovely boat, Denis. And seaworthy up to Force 5 — that’s impressive!
