This lovely little lug rigged yawl was designed and built by Eric Hvalsoe through a series of classes at the Center for Wooden Boats. Designed for efficiency in both rowing and sailing, the H16 is perfect for coastal cruising or a day out on the lake. This vessel was built in memory of David Allman, and is available for use at The Center for Wooden Boats.
The Center for Wooden Boats Curator Shelby Allman took Big Wave Dave out on the Salish 100 in 2021 for the 6 day row/sail adventure shake down cruise. The boat out performed expectations and is scheduled to go out for the 2022 Salish 100!

Beautiful! I love the light blue shear strake accent. I’m considering building a sail and oar boat for camp cruising the Salish Sea. Is there enough room to sleep on the floorboards? Or would one need to setup a platform at thwart level?
