One of the earliest fiberglass production boats, Andiamo is 64 years old!
Ordered in 1961 By Raul Frye and built in 1962 at the Pearson Yard currently occupied by the Herreshoff Museum in Bristol RI this Alberg 35 still shows in Bristol condition.
Three owners from new and originally sailed out of Bristol, RI. Later, when Mr Frye moved south, she served as the Wednesday night race Committee Boat at the Annapolis Yacht Club. Mr Frye was instrumental in founding the wednesday night races that still happen today.
She participated in several cruising club races to Newport RI as well as events up and down the bay.
She has been lovingly maintained and now sails the southern Chesapeake bay out of Regent Point.
Recently her Spinnaker gear has been refitted and a newer fully battened main and mylar head sail added.

So happy to see an Alberg 35 in the show! I have one myself (Adelante 1964, near Seattle).
Beautiful!
