Lalaguli is a pilot (deck house) yacht, the design is ideal for exploring Tasmanian waterways and responding to our changeable weather conditions. The boat design offers weather protection and internal space below decks with the sailing capability that is more akin to a yacht compared to a motor sailer.
Lalaguli was built in southern Tasmania by Barry Jones from Tasmanian timbers. The hull is King Billy Pine edge glued strip-planking and fibre glass/epoxy coated over Tasmanian hardwood frames. The use of Tasmanian timbers extends to her hand-crafted timber steering wheel, myrtle timber fit-out below along with myrtle parquetry floor in her pilot house. She moves effortlessly through the water either under sail or her original 60hp Perkins Diesel engine.

How much ?
