Owner’s Description
1929 Linton Rigg designed single headsail cutter built by Casey Baldwin in Saugutuck, CT, USA at Ohlendorff Shipyard for Alfred F Loomis, aka Spun Yarn, Navy Veteran of both World Wars, lawyer, cruiser and prolific author. No relation to Alfred L Loomis (son of man who invented LORAN navigation systems as far as I can tell). I am 3d owner, taking over care of her from Mr. William Eichbaum, World Wildlife Fund Lawyer and Harvard alum who took possession from Mr. Loomis estate in 1972. Hotspur is undergoing full refit at Cutts and Case Shipyard in Oxford, MD, USA directed by Ronnie Cutts. He lets me do some of the grunt work while his craftsmen work their magic.Already a member?
