23' Burnett Gaff Cutter (2005) - FROLIC

A beautiful, traditional, long keel,gaff cutter designed by Ed Burnett, design no.110. Ed Burnett was a well-known English Traditional Yacht Designer who sadly passed away in 2015 at the age of 43. FROLIC was one of his many beautiful designs (check out the Book ‘Ed Burnett Yacht Designs’). Of FROLIC, Ed’s comments begin,”Glamour is all well and good, but simple boats bring simple pleasures…” I think the Off Center Harbor crew would relate to this as they quote Herreshoff “Simplicity afloat is the surest quarantee of happiness “. The original owner sold her after a few years and got Ed to design him the 58′ Schooner ‘AMELIA’ A second no.110 design ‘PANACEA’ was built by Ben Harris in Cornwall in England in 2018.
