TROUT is a beautiful interpretation of the Herreshoff Fish class sloop. Built by Golden Era Boats of Noank, CT in 1988, she is a fairly accurate fiberglass recreation. She has spruce spars, teak coamings/cabin sides, teak sheer plank/rubrail, and more and more teak. She sails beautifully, quickly and very comfortably on Narragansett Bay. She has an inboard Elco electric motor on the off chance that the wind dies.

Doesn’t look like the 21′ Fish Class I sailed at the Sarasota Fl Yacht Club in the 50’s, although the same Rig.
The boats sailed at the Sarasota Yacht Club were designed by Rathbone DeBuys, an entirely different boat than the Herreshoff Fish, no relation.
