18' Thomas Willow/Quickbeam Kayaks (2006)

The Willow kayak is light, strong and easy to build in the stitch and glue method. While ideal for day paddles, Willow has the volume and solid performance required of a true expedition kayak. The Willow kayak was chosen by Chewonki Foundation to be used in their annual building program: the kids build their own boat in the first 2 weeks, followed by 3 weeks of a paddling expedition. Nearly 100 boats have been build and launched thru the boat builders program.

Quickbeam, is a variation of Willow, to provide more height for taller or heavier paddlers. In the photos Quickbeam is the bright orange boat.
