16' - VOC Friesland Working boat (2008)

Replica’s built from 17th-century working boats to celebrate the Dutch heritage of 17th-century wooden boat building.
Five have been built, paid by shares of ‘members’ to the good cause.
The first one was invited to the Australian WoodenBoat Festival 10 years ago. The other four of them still sail at festivals and other occasions.
There are even some being built from waste plastic nowadays at the old VOC town of Hoorn!!
