Built in 2021 is the Yankee Clipper designed by Joel White. Eastern white oak and white pine are the woods used throughout. The boat is built with a double hull bottom with muslin and bedding compound between the two layers. The strakes are planed to 3/8” and fastened to each other with copper every two inches. All other fastening was done using bronze coated screws and nails as specified. She took two winters to build and it was an absolute joy to be involved in a project like this. She is light, responsive and fun. And she is quick.
