19' Dix Cape Cutter 19 - Complete Kit and Plans

Cape Cutter 19 Gaff Cutter designed by Dudley Dix. Complete CNC kit cut in 2025 from Joubert okoume plywood by one of the most experienced plywood kit suppliers in the world, Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC).

The bulkheads have been assembled with West System epoxy, including clear Douglas Fir deck beams bent into Nos. 4 and 5 as required. The transom has been laminated to the correct radius from three sections of marine plywood and West System epoxy. The laminated stem has likewise been assembled with West System. None of the stringers have been installed, all bulkheads and the transom can readily be removed from the building frame and stacked for shipping. Delivery may also be possible within a reasonable distance of Boston, MA.

All components in ‘like-new’ condition, always stored in a conditioned dry garage.

NOTE: Dudley provides technical support during the building process only to the first purchaser of his plan sets. He has agreed to provide support for the completion of this plywood kit to any future owners provided that they purchase a set of plans themselves ($450). I have found his support so helpful that I will deduct the cost of a new plan set from my asking price provided you purchase a copy of the plans yourself – so you can have everything for $1,500 even (i.e., complete plywood kit, my copy of the plans and building instructions, and as much of the building frame lumber as you care to take). With the new plan set you will then have Dudley’s support during the building process and two full sets of plans – one for the house and one for the shop.
