Owner’s Description
RAVEN is a 29-foot motorsailer, designed in 1930 by John G. Alden and built by Seattle’s Todd Shipyards in 1933 for the then-president of the company. The hull was built using full-length Port Orford Cedar planks over steambent white-oak frames. Originally powered by a four-cylinder Gray engine, RAVEN now has a Yanmar 30-hp diesel with low hours. She is one of only two boats known to be built to Alden’s plan No. 494. She is owned by Marty Loken of Port Townsend, Washington, a boatbuilder and restorer.Already a member? Log in herePhotos
