Norna, originally Nornegjest, is a Danish 38′ lapstrake gaff rigged cutter called a “Jagt”* built by Flemming Jorgensen. She is traditionally and massively built with larch planking and oak frames, copper riveted and monel fasteners to her external lead keel. She is also rigged with dead eyes, and a square sail for downwind sailing, perfect for her viking heritage. Norna has sailed across the Atlantic three times, once with the original owner/builder (Flemming Jorgensen), and twice with Pete Grundvig and Kourtney Patterson.
