14' Cape Dory Handy Cat (1974) - RED MOLLY

Red Molly was built in 1974, hull #148. I purchased Red Molly from the original owner in 2005 and for the past 15 years of my 20 year ownership she has been garage kept. Two sails; original sail and 2009 Quantum Thurston sail with 3 reef points. Two masts; original solid Douglas fir and hinged sitka spruce hollow mast. Two gaffs; original spruce gaff and carbon fiber gaff. Dyneema halyards and Harken blocks new in 2024. Original wooden blocks and halyards included. 2 anchors, each with a rode. Cockpit cover and travel/sail cover, both in very good condition. 2014 Load Rite trailer, titled and road legal. 2022, 2.5 HP Mercury outboard motor. Edson motor bracket. Centerboard pendant replaced 2024. Compass and other misc. equipment. Set up for sail camping with 2nd cockpit cover and sleeping platform. Overall, boat, motor and trailer are in very good condition. Currently the boat is set up for trailer sailing. Red Molly can be easily set up, launched and sailed single handed or with up to 3 crew members. I have sail camped for 4 or 5 days at a stretch without any issues. I have sailed her on Barnegat Bay, Chesapeake Bay, Cape Cod and the Thousand Islands. She is a great boat to sail and I have received many complements.
