34' Sea Witch Ketch (1958) - GOLDEN RULE

Golden Rule is an Angelman / Davies ketch, little sister to the “Sea Witch” design. She’s 30 ft at the water line, 39 ft overall, 11’6″ wide.

Golden Rule was first owned by Quakers, who tried to sail her to the Marshall Islands in 1958 to interfere with nuclear weapons testing.

More recently, she was restored by Veterans For Peace to the original design and has sailed the West Coast from 2015-19, then to Hawaii and all around the Hawaiian Islands until present.

We “Sail for a nuclear-free world and a peaceful, sustainable future”.

In May, we will sail Golden Rule back to California, and in November, truck her to Corpus Christi, Texas to begin the “Great Loop”, which will take a little over a year.
