Macaw is a Sam Crocker designed gaff-rigged centerboard ketch. Build by Sturgis Crocker and launched in 1956. I have owned it for 30 years. It is 42′ LOA, 10′-6″ beam and draws 2’6″ with the centerboard up. She was design for sailing in the Bahamas, but has been in Puget Sound for the past 50 years. I have sailed her extensively in Puget Sound, the San Juan Island, the Gulf Islands, and Desolation Sound, Canada. We’ve frequently been to the WoodenBoat Festival in Port Townsend,WA.

I loved visiting this boat at the wooden boat festival. Wonderful boat and welcoming owners. Hello from Freyja, the Mower sloop that looks a lot like a stonehorse.
Hello My Friend, Love your boat and you two people! I am not yet back in the water; (long story involving kitchen remodel and pesky but not serious health issues) but hope to be before the 2/25 “Shipwrights Regatta” Ken
NICE! I can’t wait to take each other sailing! When do you migrate west? Might you two happen through Chicago sometime when the harbors are open? (currently TBA due to the plague) Ken
