This boat is a masterpiece of Italian naval craftsmanship.
A mahogany “vaporino”, from the prestigious “Taroni” shipyards, on the Lake Como.
It’s the one and only example ever produced.
Built in 1905, she’s still completely original. Originally, the boat was commissioned by the family of marquis Trotti, who owned a magnificent villa right on the lakeshore of Bellagio. Since 1974 the boat belongs to a passionate collector of Bellagio known, among other things, for bringing a boat of the America’s Cup to Lake Como in 1985 and for having founded in Bellagio the “Museum of Navigation Instruments”, which presents a rich collection of original pieces.
The boat has always been sailing in fresh waters. She’s in very good conditions and ready to sail.
Arguably one of the oldest all original power boats still sailing in the world.
