18' Replica Australian Racing 18-footer (2002) - BRITANNIA

Britannia is a replica of an Australian racing 18-footer from 1919. The original Britannia raced hard for 23 seasons, taking part in about 650 races winning 40 of them including 14 Championships, then had a second life as a motor boat before being restored for display by the Australian National Maritime Museum. Ian Smith built the replica in 2002 and still sails it every Summer Saturday with the fleet of historical 18-footers at the Sydney Flying Squadron. It is the most accurate replica of the fleet due to the survival of the original.
