1930s 10 foot Abaco Dinghy, built 1937 or earlier in the Bahamas. She was acquired in Exuma in the late 1939s and has spent most of her life in Hampton, VA. We were gifted the boat, spars ad rudder in late 2023 and are in the process of getting HENNING ship shape again. She’s made of beautiful Bahamas lumber, carvel planked, copper fastened and needs very little work. We’ll do the gentle restoration and when finished, she’ll sail the side waters off of the James River searching for prizes and avoiding the ships of the Crown.

We were asked for more photos of HENNING and we sent a few more in to OCH. You can follow her restoration on her blog, and see our other menagerie of seasoned small bolts there are well, and read a few Sea Stories.
