This Danish Double Sculler was built in 1971 by Victor Jensen of Hundested, Denmark for Jay Paris and shipped to Maine upon completion. The boat has been transported both on the roof racks of my Volvo sedan and using a lightweight trailer intended for a twelve foot plus boat weighing about 300 pounds. These cruising rowboats were typically used in Denmark for day trips between rowing hostels. This 7.5 meter long boat has two sliding seats amidships for those rowing and passenger seats one forward and another aft. The after seat and its backrest are padded for a crew member who can tend the tiller ropes running back to the crossbar atop the rudder. There are bow and stern stowage compartments, with floorboards to keep the contents dry, accessible through hatches in the white leatherette decks.
